The Starting Point: Why passive organic shelf-traffic had peaked.
When DedCool partnered with REIMEI in June 2026, the shop was generating revenue, but the underlying mechanics were fragile. Over two-thirds of sales originated from passive Shop Tab browsing that the brand already owned.
Over two-thirds of sales (66.5%, $64,028) originated from passive Shop Tab browsing and search traffic that the brand already owned from off-platform equity. Creator video was treated as an ad-hoc side channel generating only 30.8% of GMV ($29,639), and live commerce was virtually non-existent ($144).
Furthermore, the brand suffered from extreme single-product dependency: a single SKU—Xtra Milk Room Spray—accounted for 27.97% of total catalog sales ($26,722). The shop had peaked on passive traffic. The next phase of growth required a structural transformation from passive shelf to active creator engine.
